Jesko Absolut has just dethroned Regera for the 0-400kmph by setting a world record of 27.83 seconds. Four world records have been broken, some of which were held by Koenigsegg. Markus Lundh, the test driver for Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut, took the drive early at an airfield in Orebro, Sweden, on 27 June. Moreover, the three more world records are as follows: 0-400kph in 18.82 seconds, 0-250-0mph in 28.27 seconds, and 0-250mph in 19.20 seconds. That’s thrilling!
Regarding mechanics, Jesko had Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tyres and an E85 fuel. The early drive was due to calm winds and low air & track temperature favourable for supercars to break records. Besides, the driving power was Jesko’s twin-turbocharged 5.0 litre V8 engine with 1,578bhp. It had Koenigsegg’s Light Speed Transmission (LST), a 9-speed transmission with seven rapid-shift clutches.
If that wasn’t enough, the founder, Christian von Koenigsegg, said that Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut could achieve 531kmph given ample space. Crazy, right? Moreover, you can watch the entire session in the video below and experience goosebumps.
